Yep, we're creeping up on 1 year old. Crazy.
Jory is on the MOVE. She isn't crawling yet, but she totally gets where she wants to be, to grab what she wants to grab, much to her brother's dismay. (poor kid has no idea that it's going to get so much worse once she does crawl, lol)
She's also mimicking sounds a ton and I feel like she may be an early-ish talker. Or earlier than Jax, who didn't really talk at all til 18 mos. She is also catching onto sign language, and knows how to sign "more" (generally used for food, imagine that, ha! ;)) and smiles really big when I guess the sign that is for what she's trying to express. Most often, when she's done eating and I sign "all done".
The pedi appointment today confirmed that she definitely IS thinning out, since she hasn't gained really any weight in the last month, and has grown a few inches since her last appointment. I think all the moving, and less eating due to teething, is the cause of that.
Her doctor said she's perfect and is always amazed at just how healthy she is and how well she eats, always nice to hear as a mama!
I asked about her belly button, which starts to stick out a tiny bit when she's upset, but otherwise is a total "innie" and he felt it as she cried and said that she has a very very small umbilical hernia. But that he wouldn't have even noticed it if I didn't tell him about it and it will definitely resolve itself and go away soon.
So glad that was the only concern! Overall (other than the cold she and Jax are coming down with), she got a clean bill of health!
Oh hi there, llama.
