Tuesday Ten, Wednesday Style (Again)

I think the fact that I am always posting this thing late is pretty telling about my timeliness in life, lol. ;)

1.) Jory has learned how to take off headbands. This saddens me. I thought that by putting them on her from day 1, she would be “used to them” and ignore them, but no such luck. And I tried a hat on her the other day and she instantly flung it off. This does not bode well for her giant bald head in the very sunny TX summer we have coming our way.

2.) Does your toddler call you by your first name? Mine does now, so we’re trying to make an effort to call one another Mommy and Daddy when in front of him, which is a little weird. But I don’t appreciate hearing “Hey Becca…” from my 3 year old!

3.) Jory is warm blooded, apparently. She gets so sweaty now when she sleeps. Jax always needed to wear a cotton sleeper with a long sleeve fleece sleep sack over, but now just even a cotton sleeper has Jory waking up sweating and screaming, so I’m having to put her in cooler jammies, like these cute ones.

Also, she totally makes like a starfish when she sleeps now, I think because she’s so hot (but she won’t fall asleep without a blanket so her A+A dream blanket is always in there, haha).

4.) Jax needs a haircut again, I think his hair is growing faster now that we’re getting it cut more often. Only problem is that he FLIPS OUT when taken to the regular haircut place, and is only somewhat manageable at the kids cut place. So I guess we have to shell out more money to avoid embarrassment and a bad haircut. This is totally bedhead, but you can see that it needs a cut!

5.) Jory has TINY feet. Well, length-wise, anyway. She’s just growing out of newborn size shoes length-wise, but her feet are really too fat (tall) to fit into very many shoes these days. I know she doesn’t NEED shoes, but bebeh shoes are so cute! And they totally complete her outfits! ;)

6.) I know I said this last week but CHEAP EBAY VINTAGE BABY CLOTHES OHMYGOSH. Exhibit A:

7.) I have never been a coffee drinker but I do like caramel lattes from Sbux. Those aren’t cheap though, and I don’t feel like loading everyone in the car just for coffee, so I really need to learn how to make coffee with our coffee pot or Keurig, something that tastes similar to a caramel latte. Suggestions?

8.) The swingset still isn’t up. Trav, this is your memo that I would LOVE for you to pleeeeaaase finish it this weekend. Jax is always itching to play outside but there just isn’t much for him to do at this point!

9.) I have become obsessed with cheese. Yes, you read that right. I’m so into snacking on all kinds of cheeses. I know the Adkins diet is so unhealthy, but I’m thinking I could swing it, if I had an unlimited supply of CoJack, Babybel, Laughing Cow, etc. (I will NOT be attempting it, FYI, I’m aware that would probably be bad news, while nursing especially)

10.) I really need to take advantage of the fact that I’m burning hundreds of calories every day by making milk and work out, but I definitely don’t have time (or money) for a gym membership right now. Aside from 30 Day Shred (I’m so over Jillian), do you have any semi-enjoyable workout videos that you use? My sister and I used to love doing Billy Boot Camp, and that definitely worked, I should probably dig that one up!

So… the caramel latte thing… totally have that down! What I do is brew my normal coffee in my coffee pot (I like the HEB brand Cafe Ole – just the breakfast blend) and then I get the Caramel Macchiato coffee creamer, shake it up really well so it’s nice and frothy, and pour it in. If I’m really wanting the whole package, I put a little redi whip on top and drizzle caramel syrup! It tastes just like (or better than) a Starbucks caramel latte! And it’s waaayyy cheaper and probably better for you!

I love Gloria Jean’s Butter Toffee for Keurig, it goes great over ice or just hot. It’s the only one I can drink without creamer, yay for no-cal coffee drinks! I am with you though, Caramel Machiatto’s are my ob-sess-ion!

Zack and I use the insanity workout and it is working great for us! Hard but great results!
