1) Sunday night, I got exactly 45 minutes of sleep. I worked late, then climbed in bed and couldn't sleep, and by the time I did, Jory was howling an (earlier than usual) wake up call. 6:15-7am is all I got. Not healthy, I know. If you have any nursing-friendly insomnia solutions, I'm all ears. Although not a huge fan of hot tea, which is all I've read suggested so far.
2) When you get such little rest, you basically just feel like a bag of crap all day. Yesterday I looked it too. Yoga pants and a t-shirt (my usual uniform) but made especially gross by the poop smeared on my shirt. With a potty training toddler, a potty training dog, and a young infant, no telling whose poop it was, but yeah. I didn't even care/have enough time to change, and who knows, maybe it was just sauce from the pork loin I made for dinner.
And you know what? My husband walked in the door, kissed me on the forehead and told me that I'm amazing and that he doesn't know how I do it. Even though I looked (and smelled?) like absolute literal crap. I got me a good one, I think.
3) After almost 3 years at JJD, I finally optimized my blog design packages and made a whole set of packages just for small businesses. SO FUN. I love how they're grouped and I hope it makes it easier for my friendcustomers to see/get what they need!
4) Jax is hilarious. He's also very frustrating (but has started apologizing to us when he gets reprimanded, which is nice), but at least 20 times a day I have to hide my face while I smile or laugh so that he won't see how funny his little shenanigans are. Also, he currently calls M&Ms "whems", his bottom "my body", and asks me several times a day "MomMom, what's goin on??" :)
5) My butt is still broken. I blogged a while ago about how pregnancy and a sunny-side-up childbirth seriously injured my tailbone, to the point that a doctor suggested that it may have broken or shattered and is healing incorrectly, thus the pain. 6 months after pregnancy, it still hurts so bad to sit and go from sit to standing that I cry out in pain. And no, I will not see a chiro. Did that for 3 months with no change whatsoever! I was referred to an orthopedic surgeon, just need to start putting myself as a priority sometimes and GO.
6) We have pictures with Sarah this weekend for Jax's 3 year & Jory's 6 month, and some family pics too. I'm so excited!! Jory is wearing this adorable Janie & Jack dress from my friend Fernanda, and I'm dressing the rest of us around it. Should be cute!

7) I think most people don't even know that I have ringlet curly hair because I just don't wear it styled like that and I straighten it. If I wear it curly, it looks "cute"ish for maybe a day. MAYBE. Then, it's a mess. So, since I don't like washing it every day, I straighten it (with a Chi) and wash every second or third day.
If I let my hair air dry, I look like a lion, no lie. I used fancy schmancy Matrix shampoos thinking maybe that would help, but I honestly think it made it worse. I tried this stuff:

And my hair is air drying with very minimal frizz at the moment. It's so soft! So if you're a frizzhead like me, highly recommend you try it.
8) Jory is SUCH AN AMAZING EATER. Such a wonderful change from what we're used to. She currently has only turned down: turkey deli sliced meat, butternut squash macaroni, & avocado, but I know you're supposed to try things 10x before deciding "they don't like it" so try we will.
9) Gimme your best dog potty training tips, please. We're keeping accidents to a minimum because I am constantly taking Penny out when she's not in her crate (we're crate training her and she has never had an accident in the crate, thankfully) but it's really annoying & stressful worrying that she will pee constantly. Bella was pretty easy so I don't remember it being like this, but then again, I did live in a dorm room and she used pee pads. ;) (I know, I'm such a rebel.)
10) I'm like 93% sure that Jory is coming down with a cold. I have no words for how annoying that is. We've hardly left the house in the last couple weeks so I don't know HOW but my milk better do its thing and keep her well. She's the only one who has never really been sick and survived this cold & flu season so far unscathed! She's sleeping horribly in the last 2 days though and her nose just started to run so it's not lookin good. :(
The latest in bebeh cuteness (because I don't ever remember to keep my real camera handy...)

OMG! I am sitting here LITERALLY laughing out loud at this post! Oh, and I am in yoga pants and a hoodie today...I EVEN showered! WOOT! Gonna buy me some of that shampoo too since I too have frizzy...I mean, curly hairs! :)
I love this kind of post! I am totally stealing this idea! Thanks for sharing.. I hope you get some sleep, your tailbone feels better and that Jax continues to keep you laughing.. Just remember you are amazing! Your a Momma!
Oh no mama, hope you arefeeling better soon and get some sleep!! That dress is beautiful and Im so buying that shampoo to help with this frizzy curly mess!
On puppy potty training: I would highly recommend a schedule. In all the dog books I have read (and that is several) the best way is take them out at the same time every day. It may take a few days or a week for them to get adjusted, but it does get better. Our pup is still on a schedule and she's over a year. We crate trained also. For little pups I think they say every 2-3 hours. Also, take the water away after 7/8pm, (unless they are playing and need some). You will know when you can loosen up a bit, but I think it works the best!
