1. We have been at my parents' for the last week. We headed over for our pro pics and stayed for the week with them to get our Murano looked at and take Penny to our vet, who is over here. I'm loving having help with the kids, but I am anxious to get back into the swing of things at home. I miss our routine, no matter how mundane it may seem sometimes.

2. This kid will give me a gray hair before I'm 30. (GASP, that's a paci, let it go.) I'm 100% convinced that, aside from the teen years, of course, this age is the hardest. He sure looks sweet when he sleeps though, yeah? ;)

And then he's sweet to his sister and to me and I completely forget that he just threw a screaming, kicking fit over not getting cheerios when he wanted them.

3. Jory WAS getting sick, just like I thought, but I think the "sickness" may be teething. She was SO congested (clear snot) but that seems to be getting better but is now drool-y, diaper rash-y and clingy. Also, not sleeping well at all. She usually sleeps in til 9am and has been waking lately at 6:30am and fighting sleep from that point on. Doesn't that sound like teething? No little white dudes in sight though. Hmm.

4. Baby Led Weaning is rocking my socks OFF. I can't even tell you how wonderful it feels to not dread mealtimes with her, like I have with Jax for the last 3 years.
I have to wonder if maybe BLW would have helped him at all, but then I recall him retching and vomiting at the mere sight/touch of some foods from the very start, and I know that it would have probably been a frustrating mess.
Anyway, yeah for a fantastic eater!!! (btw, new favorite is green bean casserole, Jory scarfed it. :))

5. Sarah is still amazing at what she does. She has taken pics of me and my siblings back when I was in college, engagement pics, wedding pics, 2 sets of newborn pics, lots of Jax pics, birth pics, and now Jory pics. And I'm still floored by how great her work is!

6. Current favorite combo. If you haven't tried it, apologize to your taste buds for me.

7. I'm pretty sure the best app ever (next to Instagram, which I clearly am obsessed with) is DrawSomething. It's like pictionary on your phone and you should probably get it and start a game with me, beccaparo.
8. I think we have reached a potty training rut. Jax was doing so awesome for the longest time, and still does perfect IF he isn't wearing pants. He even makes it to the potty 90% of the time if he is just wearing underwear. But if we're hanging out and he's in pants/shorts, he doesn't know how to take them off himself so he has frequent accidents. I'm hoping this is a passing phase.
For now, he's still naked a lot. Like today when he "helped" my dad clean the pool. You know, by peeing in it.

9. I'm taking Penny to the vet here tomorrow just for a surgery follow-up and rabies vacc. It's a small clinic, and I think they may just have one exam room. I don't know if I'm emotionally capable of being back in that room, standing at that table, where we said goodbye to Bella 6 months ago. I will have both kids with me so I have to hold it together, hopefully they will provide distraction. I'm dreading it. After the run-around we were given when seeking treatment for Bella, this is now the only clinic and doctor I trust with my pet and my money.

10. I really need to start posting more than once a week!
Happy Leap Day!
