Well my good friend Natasha, who has some fabulous handmade creations [check out her site...a soon to be work in progress by yours truly! ;)], made Jax an EXACT replica of the original blue blankie. We met Natasha & her two little ones at Chick-fil-A for lunch and as soon as she brought out the blankie & I gave it to Jax, he grinned really big, grabbed it and immediately snuggled his face into it. Most precious thing ever! I am pretty sure he thinks it's the "real" one even though this one is much thicker/better quality! :) SO great! Thanks so much, Natasha!
Today was a bit of a rough one for Jax. He ate like an all-star at Chick-Fil-A [4 nuggets & several waffle fries all by himself] but spent much of the day in teething agony. :( Poor tiny man. Good thing he had the blankie to keep him company because the "real" one is in the wash!

[we decided to play "engineer" to distract from the yucky pain til Dad got home...]

[If you look closely you can see the two fire ant bites on his foot...I guess getting your first fire ant bite(s) is some kind of rite of passage living in Texas? The dumb things are everywhere.]

[This little butt won't be in disposable diapers for much longer! That's right, I'm hopping on the bandwagon along with about 10 of my e-mommy-friends and giving cloth diapering a chance. Hoping to save some major green while being green! :)]

Then Daddy came home & all was right in the world again.

let me know how the cloth diapering goes! I'm thinking of doing it whenever we have the next baby!! (let me know if you notice a lot in savings and difference in how the work :) )
Finding an identical blanket is SUCH a good idea! Nathaniel has one that he sleeps with every single night- I should really try to find another for when this one has seen better days!! Good luck with the cloth diapers! I'm excited to hear if you like them!
Great pics- I always love your pictures. Mason's blankie is a crocheted one from his great Gma so I'm never going to find a replica. I hope he doesn't stay TOO attached!
oh- and when I was two I sat down in a fire ant hill in LA. I do not recommend that.
