We found a house to rent for at least the next year. And the owners agreed that if they decide to sell it, we get first dibs! Hoping that is a possibility for us somehow, sometime in the near future!
We’re in love with it, and if we’re being honest here, Trav and I have spent the last couple hours giddily deciding where we’re going to put all our furniture & stuff. So exciting! We put down the deposit and application fee, so as long as they approve our application (which the realtor said is more than likely), it’s our new home!
It’s a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, but there’s a large upstairs loft space with a closet that could basically be like a 4th bedroom! The master bedroom, master bath, and half bath are down stairs and the 2 bedrooms, bathroom, and loft/gameroom/office are all upstairs. It has a decent size yard with a little shed for us to store our ladder, Trav’s tools, etc, and a 2 car garage (YAY!). We are stoked to have space (and then some!) for all of our stuff!
And now, pictures!
The appliances are a little mismatched, but they’ll work! It’s very rare to find a rental house that comes with a fridge, much less a washer and dryer (none of which we own, so we’d have to buy them) and this place comes with all 3!
Living room looking out from the kitchen…LOVE the vaulted ceilings!
Looking down from the loft/gameroom/playroom/office/4th bedroom
upstairs bathroom…I really like the wainscoting!
Jax loved the tub. Which is both amazing and awesome because whenever we have tried to bathe him anywhere but his bathroom here at home, he screams, cries, and shakes violently like he’s terrified! Weird!
Closet in Jax’s room. We’ll be painting the bottom part a light blue and the top half will be a soft yellow.
Guest bedroom. Yeah, that wallpaper is LEAVING. We’ve been told it’s fine to get rid of it, so we sure plan to!
Master closet. Not huge, but it will work I think.
Master bath…this was one of my only points of contention, as it’s about the same size as what we have now (which is kind of cramped when we’re both getting ready), but the double sinks is nice! And the master bedroom (which we didn’t get a picture of) is not much bigger than what we have now (not big at all), so that was my other issue with the place, but we will definitely manage!
Powder room/half bath downstairs
That’s it! :) I hope we love it as much as we think we will!
