The fact that it’s NYE has me all mushy thinking about all that 2009 has been for us.
Jax has started fighting us as we put him into his infant seat more and more. He’s fine once he gets in there and doesn’t usually fuss at all, but he arches his back and makes it nearly impossible to get him buckled in! Thankfully, his Grandma and Grandpa Gooding bought him a Britax Marathon for Christmas, so he’ll be in that before too long. For now, I am (for some reason) grasping to the days he has left in his infant seat. Maybe it’s just the fact that his new seat looks so much more grown up and “toddler-ish”.
Anyway, we took pictures for comparison’s sake. We brought him inside in the infant seat (which we stopped doing months ago because he’s a moose) just like the day we brought him home from the NICU (best day EVER, by the way :))
Pardon Bella checking out her new baby brother. ;)
A few Jax pics, just because.
Here’s the tooth! It’s popping through on the bottom right. Very very hard to see in the pic…I don’t even know if it will be noticeable if you enlarge the picture, but I promise you, it’s there! He’s very discriminatory about when/who he allows to see it, so getting a picture is semi impossible.
Remember those baby gates I posted about getting for our kitchen? We bought 2 of them and LOVE them. However, silly me sometimes forgets to close the gate and assumes Jax won’t bother climbing over the ledge thing. Silly me.
He started cruising along the furniture today!!!
If only to reach things on the top of the coffee table…
And stay tuned…we’ll be discussing his first birthday theme next! We’re between pirates (Captain Jax Paro (pronounced Pair-oh)….get it? get it?), construction workers (Trav works in the construction industry), puppies, and airplanes (my dad is an airline pilot), and taking any other suggestions you may have!
Tonight, we’re just having a quiet night at home with our family of 3. Jax is going to bed shortly and we’ll probably snuggle up and watch some movies. Bringing in the new year like the homebodies we are. :)
And with that, HAPPY NEW YEAR bloggers! I wish y’all only the best in 2010!
